WEMSA Committee Requirements:
Education Committee
Education Committee members should be instructors, training officers, or hold similar training-related roles. The WEMSA Board of Directors may waive these requirements at their discretion. Members of this committee help guide the direction of WEMSA's educational offerings, including planning the annual WEMSA Conference, as well as other events and webinars.
Membership Committee
Membership Committee members should be strong advocates of WEMSA and its mission. This committee plays a key role in shaping membership benefits, engagement strategies, and outreach to non-members. Members may also be asked to support various membership activities, such as attending local events, representing WEMSA at exhibits, and participating in conferences.
Political Action & Advocacy Committee
Political Action & Advocacy Committee members should be passionate advocates for WEMSA and EMS policy. They should be comfortable engaging with local representatives, actively promoting EMS-related legislative initiatives, and assisting with member outreach. While not required, members are strongly encouraged to testify at the State Capitol a few times per year. All committee members must be free from conflicts of interest.
